Twin Rocks
Twin Rocks

There are many of Oregon's coastal "sea stacks" that are larger and closer to shore. But few of them present the profile that the sandstone monoliths "Twin Rocks" does, one with a distinctive hole. Prior to 1925, the Twin Rocks were in fact called the "Profile Rocks" - until they changed names due to a conflict with another set of "profile rocks" in the region. If you look closely, you can see a sea dragon, an Indian, a princess or the Lochness monster. The pinnacle is 88' high and the hole is 35' across. In good weather, this makes for some classic sunset photos for any shutterbug.
